The only thing Im not a fan of however is that while you do gin xp that can be spent on new attacks and upgrades, pulling up this menu to upgrade your charcter does not stop the battles, so you can find yourself in a tough situation realzing wait I can upgrade this, but you cant because youll die trying to do so… This is an annoyance I thought only existed in online only games, and for some reason that annoyance is here.

But, nevertheless, Bright Memory has been dubbed a mix of Dark souls and Titanfall with it’s fast-paced fps action that mixes gunplay and swordplay. I say Dark Souls, but I guess it’s more like Sekiro or Nioh considering the setting and samurai-style enemies.
